Privacy policy

This is a translation for English-speaking readers. The Spanish version is the legal reference.

2. What data we process

  • Your email address, when you subscribe.
  • If you ask to be a pilot, the description of your integration, only if you write it.
  • Where you came from (campaign, source and medium), the language you subscribed in, and the technical data Buttondown records at sign-up (date, source page and IP address). They serve to prove the double opt-in and stop fraudulent sign-ups.
  • The emails you send us.

3. What for

  • Sending you the newsletter every Monday.
  • If you ask, talking to you about the pilot programme.
  • Replying to you.
  • Knowing which channels bring subscribers.

We make no automated decisions about you and do not profile you.

4. Legal basis

Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give through the double opt-in. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.

5. How long

While you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop writing to you and keep only the record of the unsubscription, so we never write to you again. If you want that record deleted too, write to us.

6. Who else sees your data

We don't sell or share your data. Only the providers that run the service process it:

  • Buttondown, LLC (United States): manages the list and sends the newsletter, through its own sending and hosting providers. The transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914).
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): hosts this site, measures visits without cookies and receives email sent to @apiahead.com. It participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google LLC (United States): the mailbox where we read your emails. It participates in the same Framework.

7. Tracking

We don't measure whether you open emails or which links you click. This site sets no cookies. When you submit a form you pass briefly through buttondown.com, which may use its own technical cookies.

8. Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to [email protected]. If you believe we haven't honoured them, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
